FOUNDER & CEO

Asset Management Director with over 18 years’ experience in the real estate sector across all major asset classes. Sabri has strong financial and commercial acumen with robust people management skills, combining a private equity mindset with operating expertise to unlock maximum value from each asset generating strong risk-adjusted returns.

Prior to launching Blackstar Real Estate Sabri worked with several investment companies and managing agents including Crosstree Real Estate Partners LLP, St Modwen PLC, Praxis Real Estate Management, and Jones Lang LaSalle.

Sabri holds professional memberships at the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI), Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM), the Institute of Place Management (MIPM), and the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (CIWFM). Sabri also sits on the REVO Asset Management Committee and is a member of the ATCM advisory Council.

  • NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Duncan is a non-executive Director of Blackstar Real Estate. A Chartered Surveyor with over 35 years experience, he specialises in the retail, leisure and food & beverage sectors. He has an in depth understanding of the market, drawing on first-hand experiences from dozens of projects across UK. Duncan is a recognised expert in the marketing, curation and leasing of these assets. He also has experience of compulsory purchase, site assembly and development consultancy, as well as working within a larger team to deliver complex development & regeneration solutions.

    Duncan is also joint Managing Partner of GCW Property Consultants, one of the leading town centre retail and leisure agencies over the last 30+ years. Duncan advises a wide range of institutional funds, private equity backed property companies, as well as local authority stakeholders, invested in town centre real estate.

    In addition to his extensive leasing expertise, Duncan frequently provides asset management support for client projects, often via GCW’s ‘white label’ service.

  • FINANCE DIRECTOR

    As a Chartered Accountant with a wealth of business experience gained largely in the SME sector, Martyn brings an abundance of technical expertise and strategic thinking to his role as Blackstar’s Finance Director.

    In the last 35 years Martyn has held key roles in a number of different businesses; including Chief Executive Officer, Finance Director and Equity Partner. He has demonstrated history of working in the real estate industry, together with strong business development expertise and professional skills in Finance, Tax, Business Planning and Accounting.

  • OPERATIONS MANAGER

    Kate has been an integral part of Blackstar from its inception. She works across a multitude of areas within the business including HR, Finance, supplier contracts and various other operational related matters, to ensure the efficient running of the business.
